♔ PRE-PARTY:
Jack is going to prove everyone wrong. People in Rosewood expect the kids that come from the wrong side of the tracks to end up as failures. But she wasn’t going to give anyone the satisfaction. She was going to get out of Rosewood one day and make it. That’s why she had the second highest GPA in Rosewood, only behind Brenton Johnson-Reynolds. Her desire for a better life comes from seeing how her father struggled to find work and maintain food in the fridge. So she helped out around the help, working at TRAXS for extra money. Her father always had a warm smile on his face although she knew he was hurting inside. Her mother had bailed on them recently and it had become talk of the town. She knew that he still hadn’t gotten over that. Jack loved him though, even if she had to act like the parent of the house as she made him breakfast and woke him up in the morning. And Jack has confidence and drive in spades.
She has a passion for fashion design, and believes in her abilities enough to make her own clothes and styled herself despite constant haranguing by the Heathers. She didn’t let that affect her though, fashion was her love. She knew that she’d make it to Paris after graduating from Ravenwood University to pursue a career in fashion. It has always been her dream Even with all of the negative aspects of her life, Jack usually overcame her problems with her sense of humor. She had to owe a lot of her happiness to her best friend Lip, who would constantly make her feel important even on her shittest day. Jack was finally going to be a senior, but something was missing. She still hadn’t had a boyfriend. Sure guys asked her, but after what happened with her parents. She was cautious to love. She refused to fall prey to sleazy Stefan’s pathetic attempts at seduction, even if every other girl did. That when she got the attention of Blaine McQueen.
♔ THE PARTY:
Jack applied lip gloss; waiting for her date. She was nervous; she hadn’t been on a date in ages. So she sat on the counter at TRAX, the record store she worked at. A lot of people asked her why would she work at a record store, when people bought their music online now days. But she liked the vintage feel her boss Isabel put into the place. She looked out of the front windows to see a sleek black BMW park at the curb and her date Blaine step out of the car. He gave her his heartwarming smirk, waving at her to come out. Isabel wished her good luck and gave her a hug. Jack walked out and Blaine pulled out a bouquet of rose, from behind him. As hard as Jack tried, she couldn’t find a flaw with Blaine. He was like something out of a Disney movie. As the both sat in his car, Blaine told her that they should check out the party Freddie Bueller was throwing. She wasn’t exactly too thrilled to be going to a party, especially a party she knew would be filled with the rich kids of Rosewood.
He could tell that she wasn’t exactly happy, so he reassured her that he would stay by her side the whole night. They showed up at the party and it wasn’t as bad as she expected. A few of her friends were there and they were shocked to see her hand in hand with Blaine. She was having a fun time until she saw Lip, his face alone let her know how pissed he was. She excused herself from Blaine to talk to her best friend but he disappeared into the crowd, instead she bumped into Stefan. He was quick to tell her how she didn’t belong with his step-brother. How he would see her like the piece of trash she was. She could feel the tears welling in her eyes, so she stormed out of the party. She heard Blaine calling out her name but she kept walking. Stefan was right. She didn’t deserve a guy like Blaine, they just came from two different worlds. It was better to stop it now before she let herself fall even more for him.
